I write for self-expression, to make sense of the often jumbled thoughts running through my head. Like so many others, I've found comfort and deeper understanding in a creative outlet. Looking back, this makes sense. Some of my most precious memories of childhood are those spent lying awake until the wee hours of the morning reading. The magic of being whisked away by writers to other worlds, and completely immersed in masterful storytelling has never really left me. Language, I suppose, is my first love. 

 

For a while now, I've been content to keep writing as a hobby, but in a bid to take the tentative next steps I've made this page as a pledge to myself. One day, I would like to take my writing to another level; maybe even to write for a living.
